I just got back from visiting Earth_69_AwesomeName again. They always say you can never go back, well it turns out they’re right. It was nice to see my parents, of course, but the whole place is just so boring. Everyone lives their whole lives doing jobs they hate just to pay for a house they don’t want to live in. Why live your life in order to make someone else happy? And then parents just inflict it right back on their kids.
It’s given me a new appreciation for life on the Greenstar. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than the alternative. The quota of nice people to jerks has continued to rise, as well. Connor and Elijah are nice additions to the crew, and Gina might be a bit crazy, but she’s better than Pol. Really, the only people left that I don’t get along with are Pol and Topik. I don’t trust either of them. They’re just self-serving morons that think they’re better than they are.
It’s probably just as well that I’m not in charge. I’d flick that switch to reset Topik in a heartbeat and then dump Pol off on the nearest habitable planet. Josie is a better person than I’ll ever be. I think my initial assessment of her might be right, I think she will be peace to this galaxy given half a chance.

Get Into The Action
For a limited time, I'm giving away the first two books in the Bytarend Fantasy series and the Hard Vacuum science fiction series for free.
Bytarend is fast, fun fantasy that'll have you on the edge of your seat. Hard Vacuum is hard-talking, violent science fiction and my tribute to 80s action movies.
