Mixtape for week 19, 2013

Here’s my top ten for this week:

TNGHT (Hudson Mohawke x Lunice) – Acrylics

Dance. Upbeat party music.

Phoenix – Grenade

Dance. A more dubstep kind of tune.

Ennio Morricone – Ave Maria Guarani

Choral. A very beautiful choral song.

General Levy – Champagne Body

Jungle. Twenty years old, but new to me. I’ve been listening a bit of jungle music this week and it’s been a bit of a blast from the past.

M-Beat – Incredible ft General Levy

Jungle. Fast jungle song.

Congo Natty – UK Allstars – Congo Natty Meets Benny Page – Radio Edit

Jungle. Upbeat jungle song.

Nigel Of Bermondsey – Can You See Them Now

Acoustic. A really nice, melodic song.

Matt Berry – Introduction

Spoken word. I was really looking forward to the new Matt Berry album. Most of it was a bit disappointing, concentrating more on comedy than music. This is a perverted exception, though. I laughed out loud at this weird track.

How To Destroy Angels – Ice age

Acoustic. A pointy, twisted, beautiful song.

King Tuff – Bad Thing

Rock. A fast, old-school rock song.

Get Into The Action

For a limited time, I'm giving away the first two books in the Bytarend Fantasy series and the Hard Vacuum science fiction series for free.

Bytarend is fast, fun fantasy that'll have you on the edge of your seat. Hard Vacuum is hard-talking, violent science fiction and my tribute to 80s action movies.
